I live, work and write on the traditional territories of the Erie, Neutral, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee, and Mississauguas. In addition to these territories being covered by the Upper Canada Treaties, these lands are protected by the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, an agreement based on peace, friendship, and respect between the Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabe, and Mississaugas to share and care for the land.
